My husband (Enrique) and I have worked with Jose and his team for many years. We began working with Jose in 2008 before he became a licensed contractor. Since he became a contractor, he has done 3 new constructions for us (duplex and two houses) including our home last year. Jose and his staff have consistently put out an excellent product. We have been equally pleased and impressed by their professionalism and responsiveness to any issues that arise. They get a solid recommendation from us!

I recently worked with JLV to get a new deck and they were amazing. From the initial meeting through the sales process and finally to the finished project they were great. Coco ran the project extremely well and listened to all my ideas and concerns and brought a beautiful deck to reality. They did really good work and got it done really quickly. Our exceptional team of professionals led by Trey Herkes who has a great eye for detail which matched mine as an interior architect/designer with Mario Escato as our on site project leader and Claudia Hurtado who made sure we stayed on budget and tracked all aspects of the project properly. The three of them ensured that the major renovation of our new home stayed on time (actually a couple of weeks early) and on budget. We are very pleased with the team and would highly recommend them.

Outstanding Work – Highly Recommended! We recently hired JLV Contruction to redo both our front and back porches, build custom shelves, replace several doors and light fixtures, and paint both the interior and exterior of our home—and we couldn’t be happier with the results! JLV was the 3rd group that we hired to do the work but had difficulty getting call backs or getting anything started. Then after waiting over a year for other contractors to do anything, JLV told us that they could do the work less than two months. From start to finish, the team was professional, punctual, and incredibly skilled. The craftsmanship on the porches is exceptional—solid, beautifully finished, and built to last. The custom shelves they built are not only functional but also a perfect match for our home's style. Every door and light fixture was installed with care and precision, and the painting—inside and out—was flawless. They took great care with every detail, and it shows. What really stood out to us was their patience and flexibility. As the project progressed, we had a few additional requests and changes, and they were always accommodating, never missing a beat. They handled everything with a positive attitude and made sure we were happy every step of the way. Just finished a historic renovation in the Lower Garden District with JLV and couldn't be happier. They truly delivered on time and on budget. Jessica Leiva was an absolute superstar project manager – her attention to detail and dedication were incredible.
